We are delighted to have Andrew Palmer as the resident artist in June. Andrew lives in London. His enigmatic works are committed to the experience of looking at images that read slowly. Forms are born of paint on wood, rock, metal, woven cloth and digital print and manifest as states of being, often embedded in hermetic complexity. Thematically conflicting ideas circulate through yearnings for the metaphysical in nature and as spectres of the military industrial complex. Working with beekeepers from West Penwith, Palmer will study the networked relationships of bee colonies to provide new insights that feed into his working process. A presentation will be made at the C.A.S.T. Café, Helston on June 30, at 7pm.
